He wants strategy by being able to jump to a ledge on drop a grenade from above...you can do that in uncharted 2. Online like demons souls...no. Globetrotting? Thats what already in UC2. Everything else I aagree with tho(except Move-balancing problems with online would be crazy). Its going to be hard to top UC2 but ND can do it

This is another problem. With games being shorter and so scripted in their design. There is almost no reason to playthrough them again when you know everytime something is going to jump out at you or a wall will crumble under your feet. So many devs are focused on making an epic "experience" that the game becomes amazingly average. Few games(like Uncharted 2) have found the balance and even that had scripted events that soon became tiring
Wow i never noticed that until you pointed this out. This gen is more of a decrease in quality rpg's, stealth and platformers. There seems to only be one quality one in each of those genres.
OnTopic: It's not so much of a decrease in singleplayers as there is more of a focus in multiplayer. This is obvious to publishers as more ppl buy multiplayer games than limited singleplayer. IMO a good SP is better but if I have the decision to buy a 8 hr SP for $60 or an 8 hr ...

@poopface(lol with the name) Thankyou. Honestly it is the most feature packed fps ever. Why? Because it is Microsofts flagship franchise so they put alot of money behind it. Its the same reason why GT5 is so feature packed. Honestly its one of the few things that I wish Sony would focus more on. The ps3 has no big pick-up-and-play arcadey shooter like Halo. Are people still here trolling halo? Now i'll admit that im a hardcore playstation fan and no i dont like the xbox(not the xbox itself but microsofts decisions with it) but why troll halo? Honestly it looks like the best fps to come out in a long while(tho it may have many flaws idk i havent been following it). I dont kno any game with that many customizations, firefight, co-op, theater mode, weapons, etc. Honestly if youre a gamer and you constantly troll halo than you cant call yourself...

Yea im just waiting on Jak 4, Sly 4 and KH3 and I'll have all of my ps2 series's finally on the ps3. I played chain of memories but on the ps2 where sadly it felt like I was playing kh1 all over again. The battle system was not good for the ps2 in anyway. I never played the ps1 final fantasy's(or any for that manner) but im planning on getting ff7 and ff8 because kh introduced me to Leon and crisis core introduced me to Cloud

They never owned them. Crash and Spyro were owned by Universal which is why Sony is so adamant about owning IP's nowadays. They used to be like how Microsoft is now with Gears of War with buying exclusivity from third parties. Now they buy the IP like with Heavy Rain
Im not trying to bash the game(its one of my most anticipated titles for nxt year) but TM is going to be more of niche game than most. Vehicular combat might not sell as well and with a lower player count would make it harder to get in a room with alot of people. TM might have the same problem with killzone where there were too many specific game modes that split the player count into many different rooms.
Exactly thats why Sony have been trying to get restructured for yrs. SCE wants the movie to be about the game so pppl would buy more Ps3's for it. Sony Pictures want the movie to have good action scenes and famous ppl for ppl to buy the blu-ray. Sony Pictures is winning :/
