Most the games have been completed in about an hour.That dosent mean they are only 1 hour long.Some guy even completed portal in 17 min.
where did u get that from.It took me 27 hours to finish it in my first play through out of which about 8 hours was cutscenes. That means about 19 hours of gameplay which is longer than some of the RPGs this gen.And this is easily the best game this gen.

with the increase in the production cost this will help the developers get more money and also motivate them to spend more money and try and make better games
those are some of the best cutscenes and even if you exclude the cutscenes then you still have about 20hrs of gameplay which is very long for a action adventure game

what you have been seeing until now is the actual game so whats with the no in-game stuff and this game(or art what ever it is) is coming out this summer(most probably july).

the problem is people buy the consoles from the grey market because of the insane taxes, we generally end up paying twice as much as other countries,if we buy it officially. many people buy the games at play-asia.com or get them from the grey market as most of the games are released very late and they again cost a lot more than the rest of the world.
edit: and the reason for the high sales of the ps2 is because console gaming started picking up recently and the best way to start ...
i absolutely did not expect such a game from free radical
its been in development for about 3 years and if it releases in feb 09 then it will have a total development time of around 3 1/2 - 4 years
