Well good on you RazzerRedux, I am pleased to know that you ran tattling to the mods because you didn't like the article. I said my piece and stand by it. If I had problems and went to google and found an article like this is would be both comforting and informative. I am sure others would too. But you know, that is apparently good enough for you.
If it is happening, and by the looks of the reddit link it is all linked to rest mode... then it is worth reporting in my mind. It is better that these articles exist so that people that are having problems with their console can know a) they are not alone and b) that there may be a work around, in this case not using rest mode. That makes it a perfectly legitimate thing to post as far as I am concerned.

That's nice that you don't care. It tends to be what racists do, not care about others. Others certainly do care and I think it is fantastic to finally have someone that represents the Muslim culture in a fun way instead of the tired and damaging terrorist representation.

Slow your roll dude, an opinion piece is exactly that an opinion and to me it was pretty well explained that these aren't the best games of the generation but the ones that mean the most to the author. Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.
I am telling you all. It is so bad over here right now. A member of our extended family lost their life when they couldn't get out of their house in time the fire was moving so quickly. It is great to seem the games community helping out!
Super keen to see some more crazy style racing games. You know like Burnout etc. Nothing like that for ages. Forza Horizon is great don't get me wrong but it isn't quite the same.
It is nothing like that at all. It is simple saying that Control... A video game, competed with titles that had a bigger budget and did better than them. The AAA is a title for convenience's sake. What do you expect outlets to have a GOTY award for every budget out there, that is insanity. So yes, you are being pedantic.
I really get a kick out of these awards. Sure they are as cheesy as hell but they still manage to be fun. Hoping for a possibly Fable reveal, that would be cool.
I think your point about the advertising has some merit, that is probably the worst move by Deep Silver in this whole saga. But the worse case scenario I see here is that maybe if a few more AAA titles ditch Steam, Valve may just sit up and take notice and improve its attitude towards developers, not seeing them as a disposable resource.

I keep hoping we will see a Crimson Skies announcement, even just a HD remake, but it is unlikely.
I do think that we might see a new Red Faction this year also a HD redo of Kingdoms of Amalur
