I beat Half Life 2/ Lost coast and Episode 2 on my PC a million years ago. Source tech is old beans now, no one gives a crap.

Half Life 2. That thing took so long, that when they released it (although a great game) the visuals had dated somewhat. I remember seeing demo's of the engine 2 years before it shipped and thinking ..wow!
...now Killzone 2 still looks cutting edge to me, but will it appear so in 2009? Or will some other games get out the gate before it with more of a 'wow' factor? I hope not.
Free radical made a stinker. I thought the demo was a pile of sh1t to be honest. This confirms my suspicions somewhat for the full game. I mean, I know outside of heavy hitting FPS developers (Bungie, Infinity Ward, Insomniac etc...) there are tons of mediocra to sh1te FPS games, but I actually thought Haze would be half decent considering how good Timesplitters used to be in the Ps2 days.

That's like saying the 360 has free online, an nice user interface, is reliable, is quiet, can use industry standard hard drives or mem cards.
Or that it has built in Wifi or a Blu Ray drive. Or even that it is doing well outside of USA and that japan has emberaced it and that we are going to see a whole diverse software lineup for it. Not just shooters....yeah. Riiiiight.

The 360 is doing really well here in the US as it is playing on home field. The PS3 is gaining ground in the US though, and I think in the long run Sony will dominate here too.
It's just a quality built machine, that has a wide range of game types and countries developing for it.
I truly believe to win the console war (which you could argue is already over with the Wii selling how it is..) can only be won if the whole world embraces the product. Not just UK.
I don't know about some of you guys, but even through the sh1tty quality video, this looks amazing. Great graphics, particularly the explosions and lighting effects. Also sweet animation.

Maybe the full version plays drastically different, but the demo is crap.
The graphics are nice, but not even close to GT5p, an it has a slight 'dull' look to the palette.
Also it plays like ridge racer or any other simple 4ss racer.
The spin offs are annoying and the sound is weak too.
