Makes me so happy to see BC2 getting love, much deserved. One of the most fun FPS games I've ever played. BFBC is what got me hooked on MP shooters, and since BC2 nothing's quite kept me playing for more than a couple months. I dunno what it is man, so hard to put my finger on it. But those games had a magic to them.
Sold mine recently for $340 with an extra controller and some games. Definitely worth it for a system that's becoming so obsolete so fast. I'm sure the NX will have backwards compatibility with Wii U titles, and hopefully Wii titles. But it's time for Nintendo to move on.
Yessir. They honestly aged really well. Story, gameplay and graphics are all still outstanding.
I HIGHLY recommend getting your hands on Final Fantasy X HD. It's a fantastic game and one of the best Final Fantasies hands down. The sequel X-2 is also pretty damn good. Definitely worth any gamer's time. :)
I want to disagree but I can't. I didn't buy the Pre-Sequel but I can only imagine how pissed off the people who bought it (thinking it wouldn't come to current gen) are. After they blatantly said they had "no plans" for a current gen release, they announce a COLLECTION immediately after the game comes out.
Ridiculous. It would have been fine if the Pre-Sequel launched simultaneously on last and current gen, or if they had been straight forward. But this...
Oh yeah. I was a huge member of the BC2 community and those guys were all extremely anti-COD. It's been a thing for a while. IMO the games are hard to compare directly, at the end of the day it's all about what type of game you prefer to play. Arguing over what's "better" is pointless.
I just want a Battlefield game with some decent team cooperation. I wanna be forced to work as a squad to succeed. Mindless running around gets old. My best Battlefield moments were the days where I ran around with my clanmates and coordinated our positions and assaults. Fun as fuck.
In BF4 it hardly even matters though. Holding a base doesn't really feel like an advantage. I can't put my finger on why tbh.
Is it just me, or are FPSs just getting stale? I find it so hard to get into any FPS nowadays. Destiny, Titanfall and AW didn't hook me at any point. They're fun for what they are but not much more.
BF4 wins out a bit cause of the scale I think, but compared to older installations it's really not as fun. BF2, Bad Company 1 and 2 were all miles more entertaining. I still go back and play them from time to time. I want Bad Company 3 so bad.
He's completely right. Battlefield gets kind of close but compared to a game like Arma 2, it's an arcade game. I'm personally not a fan of Arma though, I think Battlefield finds the right balance and that's just fine. DICE has already said they don't sacrifice fun and balance for realism.
Now if only Battlefield had some more reliable servers and a couple dozen less infuriating bugs.
I feel like it's more likely they'll make Bad Company 3 before they rush out Battlefield 5. At least I would hope so, because the Bad Company series really deserves another installment and it'd be great timing.

You're absolutely right. DICE developers have said so themselves and it's the reason Battlefield 3 went the direction it did. The forums expressed their disapproval constantly but the sales said it all.
Right there with you buddy, FFX is my favorite game as well. Just never gets old.
