I don’t know if their history matters much anymore. Disney is a different beast now entirely. If you own a ton of IP and characters, a fighting game spinoff is a no brainer imo. The problem with this is finding a dev that makes fighting games. MS wants to make killer instinct but can’t find anyone to make it.
It can get messy with licenses like we saw with marvel vs capcom. None of that shit matters when you own all the IP though. That’s why I want a capcom vs capcom game lol....

I don’t think so. When you have a loyal fan base like cod players you don’t f**k it up. I mean loyal just in terms of pure purchase power. These f***ers show up every year in rain, sleet or snow like usps. It’s not more profitable to wall it in like that when it comes to things like cod or gta.

Sony gets 30% of every ps cod sale. Sony gets 100% of every first party sale. They can compete. Releasing a few more titles a year to make up the losses would take hard work but it’s not impossible.
