N++, a sequel to N. I see what you there ;)
To make a CGI movie, they don't need to use a game development kit like UE4. The film industry has far more advanced CGI tech for that. This tech demo is to show what's possible in a GAME, that's being rendered in real time. The point of the tech demo was to display the engine's dynamic lighting and particle system features. Not animation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they do the same thing with BF3 and the B2K expansion pack? I remember that if you got the early limited edition, you got the dlc for free.
@Nate-Dog Thank you for that. Makes much more sense now. (I just read my original comment, boy do I sound like I'm fresh off the boat "I quite new to the MGS world" and "I don't know what you explanation means".
Hi. I quite new to the MGS world (MGS4 being my first MGS game), and I don't know what you explanation means. If you don't mind, can you please clarify? I'll try from my side and google them as well. Thanks.
DICE did the same thing with BF3 when they revealed the Faultline trailer. There wasn't any backlash then, so why would there be one now? Answer? There's actually no backlash. Just a site looking for hits.
Yeah, don't expect it to look anything like that demo on the 360 or the PS3. In fact, the HD 7990 is much, much, much more powerful than the GPU inside the PS4. However, since the PS4 is a closed system, with the right amounts of optimisation, the PS4 version of the game can look close to the 17 mins demo. However, since I am no game developer, I can't say for sure. But back to the point, don't expect those graphics on any current gen system.
The BF4 gameplay demo was running on a PC equipped with a AMD Radeon HD 7990 Malta dual GPU card.
That's what I'll be doing actually. Since the PS4 is rumoured to release around the same time as BF4, I rather get it on PS4 than ps3. But for example, for games like TLoU, I'll get it for PS3 when it comes out in June, and when it most likely releases for the PS4, I'll get it for that as well.
Erm, it was already announced for the current gen consoles. This article mentions next-gen consoles.
Start selling some old games that you never play any more, perhaps?
Wow...wasn't expecting that. If Activision brings this kind of graphical fidelity to their next gen CoD games, and with the new gameplay of BF4 that was revealed yesterday, its gonna be a hell of a battle between the two franchises. Though the only thing sthat battlefield might have over CoD are the larger maps, vehicular warfare, dedicated servers (consoles) and the higher player count. If all these issues can be addressed for CoD, next gen will be really interesting.
@Scroticus When did DICE ever mention anything about BF4 running on next gen consoles at 720@60fps? That was a rumour. In fact, DICE actually hasn't mentioned anything on resolution when it comes to the next gen consoles.
"War has changed..." :'(
Another classic attempt by NeverEnding1989...I guess the trolling just "never ends"...

Whatever specs end up being inside the next Xbox, I hope it's on par or close with the specs of the PS4. Then multiplatform games will be better overall, with no platform bringing down another due to lower specs (not including PC of course, as their tech is ever evolving). Competition is always good.
Ah damn! This means the finale is gonna be a snore fest. Why? Well obviously Rick and the Gov are gonna be watching the TV spot instead of killing each other XD
