Yeah, the FIFA series has always been very popular. It's a bit strange that Konami would pick a release of PES on the same day as FIFA. =/
Well, Naughty Dog is owned by Sony now, so I highly doubt that.
Still, it would be cool.
Actually, it does have an online pass (and that is not because of Sony or D3Pub). That is a Level 5 thing. It was the same with the original game. You needed a pass to access the GeoNet (for those not familiar with the series, that is the online side of WKC).
It's on the back of the manual. I'm playing the game right now.
Also, in America White Knight Chronicles is not published by Namco Bandai as stated above, rather it is published by D3 Publisher....
Yeah, these type of articles are rare. Good to see people taking the time to remember/commemorate something important like this, even right within gaming.
Unless you meant the service charge, which I concur, it can be a bit pricey for those data plans. :/
$49.99 is too expensive? That's a lot less than the $200 they were charging with Verizon.
This is the same price that DirecTV charges their subscribers for the service.
And want to know a secret? People buy it. A lot of people. It's not for everyone and I'm sure SCE isn't expecting it to sell like hotcakes, but there are some people who will subscribe to it.
At the same time, if the video is any indication, the $300+ price tag is not necessarily charged all at once. It may be divided into $80 something increments.

They have had plans to do this for a long time. When I used to work at GameStop some years back they had iPods in the system for trade-ins.
Of course at that time, we couldn't do it.
Well, anything for profit I suppose. Meh...
I love Ministry of Sound but I'm not a fan of dance games.
You pay for XBL to play online. So yes, you are forced to pay for multiplayer for both used and new games on the 360 (extra if it's a used games from companies like EA). Stop being a fanboy and open your eyes.
"Sony and the rest" only make you pay for online IF you buy the game used.
Now, getting back on topic - While I'm definitely getting Gears 3, I'm not much of a fan of DLC so I wont get the season pass.
However, pe...
@ZeroTolerance
Oh wow, that's a bit of time. Was it an early build review copy or was it code for the retail copy of the game? Curious.
Hmm, played both on the PSP and of course they are among some of the best portable games out there.
I didn't realize reviews were already going out for the collection.
I agree. When it comes to games without a story, sure, pick up whatever game you want in the series. However, if the game is story based and you really want a better appreciation for the game as a whole, then start at the beginning.
On the other hand, if you are playing it just for the multiplayer part (which it seems a lot of people do these days), then fluff it. Do whatever you want.
Everything is a "rumor" until it's officially announced by some sort of official authority.
Meh...
The PSP has always gone strong in Japan. The key reason is this - It had a lot of first and third party dev/publisher support.
On the other hand, western publishers were not quick to support the UMD/PSP hardware as much, thus the downfall.
Vita however, already has just about every major publisher backing it up and has been praised by devs worldwide. On that same note, the 3DS you say you are going to purchase has been LOSING support by devs and publishers ...
If the dev. time for FF Versus XIII is an indicator of anything, then the numbers probably won't even go that high so fast.
Maybe FF XVII or XVIII lol
I love when these guys get copies "early" and only show a game case, never the game. Plus the screen could EASILY be the beta menu screen.
<sigh>
I'm sure it's fake. Just some dude looking for attention.
(or am I missing something here?)
I'm pretty sure there will be a surge of sales come this Holiday season; Especially with the price drop yesterday.
@remanutd55
Yeah, I wish they had the PlayStation app here in North America because I'll be at work when all the press conferences take place :(
Coo. Looking forward to the F2P stuff coming in October.
