Next gen will take advantage of TVs and monitors with VRR, basically gsync/freesync. Sh*t, xbox can already handle freesync, it's just the console's cpu is too weak to take advantage. Games will be smooth nextgen.
But what's more important is groundbreaking interaction with environments, bigger, richer worlds, advanced AI. That's the stuff that will truly be worth an upgrade. Bloody storage could be the sticking point next gen. You want detail streami...
No one rates him or his games. There's no 'over' about it.
We're massively cpu bound right now. More rich, seamless environments and complex interactions not possible till we get consoles with Ryzen cpu's. Memory and storage speeds are also an issue. If you want games to evolve, then next gen is exciting. Reveal unlikely to come until e3 2019, release maybe spring 2020, Xmas 2019 absolute earliest anyway, so you get your wish to stick with ps4 pro anyway for quite a while.
My phone screen is 720p
They would need to drop the number off each device, i.e. ps4. It would just all be called PlayStation, and be differentiated by year, exactly like the Imac. Developers would simply decide which of their games could run on which model. So for example, when GTA 6 comes out, RockStar just label a minimum spec: "Compatible with PlayStation/Xbox consoles: 2019, 2021" etc etc. If a developer doesn't want to be held back from a console from 4 years ago, they simply don't support...
Throw out violent films and ban violent TV as well. Burn all the violent books, and ban combat sports... But keep all the guns. Actually, arm everybody. More guns = less gun crime. Sentry guns in classrooms imo, but ban the history lessons referencing war.
This coincides with AMD announcing zen 2 cpu production. Would be amazing if ps5 was based on that architecture.
That's OK. They don't have anything planned for the NES either.
Bluepoint for Demon's Souls IMO
It's time for F-Zero, 2018 style!
I hope we don't have to wait that long. The cpu's this gen are badly dated now. To drive gaming forward we need consoles with Ryzen cpu's. That will provide different and more complex worlds to explore, and maybe, finally we'll see the step up in AI we've been needing for a long time.
Sounds like loser talk
VforVideogames, have another drink.
Would you like any cheese with your whine?
Hmmm. I wonder how late in 2019. Cross gen release? PS5 launch title?
So, you've been down voted, I see. Either by attention seeking, angry school kids, or, by Nazi apologists. I shall echo your original sentiment. F*ck you, to anyone who even pretends to back Nazi sentiment. These primitive scumbags will lose as always, as the rest of civilization continues to evolve.
@ Haurus. Holiday 2020 at the latest. AMD releasing 2nd gen Zen chips next year. Good chance one of those goes in a ps5 in 2019. That would be a 6 year lifespan for ps4 before the successor is released. That would be fine. If Ps4 sales slow down, they'll release ps5 asap.
OLED is less bright but has true black, so the picture has amazing contrast. QLED is much brighter though, and better in bright rooms. On the shop floor, QLED will look most impressive. At home with cinema setup, OLED will look amazing.
One day in the distant future, civilisation will evolve to the point where people can understand the concepts of subjectivity and opinion. But for now, the idiot is winning.
@Gaming_1st if you think all 'mid-aged guys' are as archaic as you are then you're wrong. Most of us are proud of the progress society is making. That's right; acceptance is progress. You must hate the direction all media is heading if you are uncomfortable with the lesbian scene in the Last of Us. Society will continue to mature to celebrate individuals having their own say what is right for them, so long as those values don't harm anyone else.
