random forum posts should not count as "rumors", let alone "news"
well unless you're a wii fanboy (which i doubt), then you must feel bad that the 360 continuously outsells the ps3...
this is an advertisement!
AND it's not even new, its been $20 for awhile already
the quality of what has become news on this site is appears to be sinking fast
Yes, we can see, Phil, as most multiplatforms look worse on the PS3.
But seriously, there have been (or will be) some very successful multiplatform titles (Oblivion and Virtual Fighter 5 come to mind), which goes to show that good ports aren't that hard, it just requires a little extra money/effort from developers, which should pay off in the long run.
It still seems to make more sense to me to put in the little extra money and make a good port rather than buil...
That gaming line-up is so crazy. Starting in August the 360 is going to start wreaking havoc on my life.
I am just in shock that condemned 2 and manhunt 2 are two of your most anticipated games ever.
I think PC MMOs may have taken a chunk of the console market. During the last generation of consoles, most MMOs were geared towards hardcore gamers, but with the introduction of some more recent ones (WoW/Guildwars), they have definitely expanded their sphere of influence. I know a number of people who are holding out because they still spend all their gaming time on those online games.
I know that WoW alone has a around 8 million subscribers. I realize that not all of those...
He got a 1.5 million dollar signing bonus in addition to a half million dollar salary to pull him away from MS. Those aren't numbers for someone who got "sagged".
Sony! WTF? A few more price drops of the 60gb model and I was starting to think about getting it.
Now it appears that everyone is just adopting the iPod pricing strategy whereby the price never drops, you just slowly add more features and keep the price relatively the same.
I am starting to think I may just wait for the ps4 :( (assumming it has full backwards compatibility)
You can buy marketplace points (and wii points) from the comfort of your own home...
Controller price drop...console price drop...Sony is moving in the right direction. Now all it needs are some "must have games" to be released as opposed to in development or coming in 2008.
Darn you Sony for flashing that sexy boomerang controller than switching the controller back to the ps1 design! I would own a PS3 right now if it came with the boomerang controller. That old controller is too little.
There is a great scene at the end of the movie where one of the main nerds (the name eludes me) gives an inspirational speech about how we are all nerds in some way and that...
"No one will really be free until nerd persecution ends!"
Well this is pretty astounding news, Newsweek is a fairly reputable source (although I always considered myself more of a Times man).
I had the PS, PS2, and PSP, and am now the current owner of a 360 (and wii), with no plan to buy the PS3. And if you would have told me I would make the switch 2 years ago I would have laughed in your face.
and ps, is your name a reference to The Desert Fox?
Here you go son

No to open chat for me.
As I am yet another playstation turned Xbox 360 gamer, this is simply music to my ears :)
And Bloodmask, keep on writing, forget about the fanboy ranters, they scream loud because it is an empty lifestyle.
Both the 360 and PS3 need a price drop to gain appeal to more than the committed hardcore gamers.
Meanwhile, I believe Nintendo has proved that the sweetspot for a system with a general appeal game packed in (like Wii sports) is $250. Thus I suppose a console alone costing $199 sounds about right for mass consumption.
I am starting to think that Epic will say ANYTHING to keep their latest game in the headlines (and it works).
