Seriously IGN are you actually this bad at reporting? let's compare some VERY basic features that are now missing from Switch online that was included with Wii U online.

It's when they say stupid sh*t like this that I actually get pissed off at Nintendo. Go play Mario Maker 2, or Smash Ultimate, or ARMS online and them come say that to my face. The only games that get the online running decent is Splatoon and Mario Kart, which still aren't as good as their competition.
What's so infuriating about this is it makes me think they aren't going to improve their absolutely GARBAGE online. Nintendo how can you have such a HUGE disc...

At the end of this gen as well, just watch, next gen they'll do it all again.

I don't think Spider-man is similar to Japanese superheroes at all. Most Japanese superheroes have completely unique worlds and their own set of rules around those worlds, where most American superheroes are based around our world with the main differences between our world being the hero themselves, with the exceptions of adding distant planets. Really? When you guys think of a Switch Pro the first thing you think of is higher resolution? Cmon, the system has much more necessary things to be added first, like voice chat actually being on the console and not on your phone, a dock that has a wired network option built in, Now will this make their online actually good? Of course not, but let's hope Nintendo would overhaul their online as well.
This is where i'm putting my money, these days people put way too much blame on the publisher, and no I am not defending activision, but look at Anthem, Bioware and EA. Everyone and their mother is blaming EA, but EA gave Bioware FOREVER to make Anthem, and they didn't even have working loot... you simply cannot blame EA for that. I think something similar is the case with Destiny, simply because Destiny at it's core is a game that wants to milk the player.
Exactly... it shouldn't even be "considering" their online is god awful, and these NES games are not justifying it whatsoever. This should be a couple months away, not in the "considering" stage. Either drop this soon, or fix your garbage online, or make online free again, those are the only ways you can fix this Nitnendo... and I bet they do none of these.

The online for this game is horrible, constantly swaping out other players for AI, hit detection is absolutely horrible, you could be a mile away from an item or a stage hazard and yet it still hits you, simply because of lag/player dumbying/hit detection it's like a combination of all of them being just horrible. Really disappointing honestly.

I heard this yesterday as well. One guy I play with in the UK was telling me PSN was down, I hoped on quick to check and I got on fine, i'm also connected just fine now, maybe this was an outside the US thing?
