I feel like the first one was still better. It was just something special about the first game. I do agree with you about the soundtrack in Silksong
I've had to step away probably 3 times just to gather myself before jumping back in. If anyone is thinking "ohh cute bug game" you'd gonna be in for an un-lubed surprise once your start progressing.
I think I'm working through at a decent pace but Silksong is HARD. And no it's not "you just need to adjust" hard, legit way more challenging that the original.
Feels like half the enemies hit for 2 pips, environment dangers mid boss fight, bosses have adds, etc.
He does look like Tom Cruise lol
