I knew this game would be a flop, and it is all Naughty Dog's and Sony's fault: The gun gameplay just doesn't feel satisfying and playing as Nathan Drake is just stupid and boring. They should have just used a Lara Croft rip-off. Give the male gamers some incentive to spend $60 on it. NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT NATHAN DRAKE OR ANY PART OF THE STORY/GAME

LOL..pretty funny the so-called GOTY was not even in the top 20 in game sales on the biggest gaming month of the year.
Not that many gamers buy or play this game. Silly they would give it 'Game of the Year' or just sad for the industry

not surprised, considering all the "welfare-hype" the gaming media has pumped into this game.
Gamers are the ultimate judgment in quality: they actually buy and play quality.
considering the sales flop, this game is mediocre.

If this is true, then Sony is going the same route Microsoft currently has. The Xbox 360 CPU is a variant of IBM's Power5 series. This means the PS4 CPU will look a lot like the current Xbox 360 CPU, only much more powerful. Developers will like it a lot.
If Microsoft also chooses Power7, then backwards compatibility should be easy for the next Xbox, assuming they choose an ATI graphics chip.

Wonder if they will make you play for cross-game chat?

Imagination Technologies's PowerVR is not even in the same ballpark as Nvidia & ATI Graphics technologies. PowerVR sucks compared to ATI and Nvidia.

Gabe Newell is laughing his fat ass off right now. John Carmack was right about the Cell all along.

Ken Kutaragi, "where is my 120FPS networked-super-Cell matrix at?" No wonder Sony fired/canned you.
Hopefully, Intel will bailout Sony for the PS4, who knows.....

RIP Cell (Nov., 20 2009)

Consider all the hype and development money, the Cell project has been a failure. It is less effective at running general purpose code than Intel, AMD, and IBM's microprocessors. Moreover, it is less effective at running graphics code compared to Nvidia and ATI GPUs. That's why Sony dumped the Cell and went to Nvidia at the last moment for the PS3 instead of using 2 Cell processors. It is no wonder that IBM, the creators and researchers of the Cell, is just letting it die off.

To un-ban you have to buy another 360 that is not banned yet. And when you finally get your old console to be able to play on LIVE, it will most likely get banned again.

1,000,000 isn't much at all, considering it is Sony's biggest exclusive of the year and the amount of money it took to make it.

Good job PS3 outselling 360. Uncharted sort of flopped........ Forza 3 really flopped

eurogamer said the PS3 doesn't have enough bandwidth to enable the bloom lighting and that the PS3-version doesn't have as good anisotropic filtering for textures.

The Lens of Truth seem to be the "professionals" at comparisons.
They say the PS3 version lacks bloom lightning and has a slower framerate:

Really? Do you know if they all had played a game before its official release date?

Well, the piracy will end when MS's releases their next-gen console with Bluray. Bluray will help end piracy for the PC also: not many people are going to be downloading 50 gigs. And dual-layer discs are expensive.

For the 360, if they require users to be connected/signed-in to LIVE in order to pay a game, that will cut down on most if not all piracy.

I guess, since this is more of a slow-moving game, framerate may not matter as much as a FPS for example. I'd probably get the PS3 version of the game. Need to see more comparisons though to be sure.

There is no way if the PSN stays free. If Sony starts charging $50 a year for PSN, then MS may be able to get away with $100 bucks a year.

They need to create a solution to where one doesn't have to insert a Netflix bluray disc every time to use the service.

If PSN stays free, I seriously doubt MS will be able to charge $100 bucks for Gold LIVE.
