Agreed, Nintendo wont likely get lucky again and so leaving the console wars behind is the best bet for their future survival. Personally I dont care one way or the other but for Nintendo zealots happy to play the same old franchises over and over again regardless of how good or bad they are this is your best bet to still be playing Mario 10 years from now. Nintendos inability to match Horse Power with Sony and MS leaves them in a position of risk and weakness.

No just the obvious truth. The XBOX division has been in real decline for 3 years in the eyes of gamers and Windows 8 is a shovel of shite. Ms are in decline both artistically and philosophically.
Nintendo got lucky with the Wii but that console has been on life support for years and with the WiiU being a slightly more powerful version it was always destined for the scrap heap.
Early adopters have always been prepared to pay over the odds. Its the regular and casuals who decide the console war winner and at that price the PS4 is a shoe in, never mind all the other MS bollocks.
