Well they didn't attend it last year either and they have the best selling console this gen by miles so I'm sure they'll be just fine. Sony doesn't need an industry game show to show gamers what they're doing or what the PS5 is all about. E3's relevance isn't what it used to be and Sony knows that Microsoft just hasn't figured it out yet.

No you smell a drop in gaming revenue for Microsoft.
Not really how it works, by that theory Microsoft would need to constantly put out new consoles to keep sales numbers for games up. Console sales are down as expected but game sales should not be effected in the same way.
