Because of the narrative being pushed by some that its "the future of gaming" when its not, that's why. Calling it an option is fine but the hyperbolic speak as if its the way everyone will be playing games is why it garners negativity.
I'd say there are many aspects that factor into the difference in gamers and what platform they choose not just being placed in your hardcore/casual label box, so I'd say my statement is very true after all.
How do you personally know what type of gamer are on Playstation? I only ask because you're using words like "fact" when you have no actual data to back up what you're saying.
Microsoft acquiring studios is them playing catch up, Sony doesn't need to buy anyone its clear who has the best first party studios and who's just throwing money around to try and compete.
