4K wont be the norm for 5 years, unlike how Sony and MS were battling for the next HD physical media format. Sony isnt the only manufacturer pushing the 4K format....so this is no knock on Sony.
other than that, i dont see how Sony stole any show.

Sony won't do this if they are smart. but Sony hasn't used "smarts" this gen what so ever. from "RIIIIIIDGE RACER" to claiming "4D", to the debacle of not having enough security for the PSN hack, to the horrid ps3/vita advertising....i believe Sony has gotten to full of themselves with the Playstation brand. which, is very sad
anyone who honestly thinks any 360 or ps3 game looks better than a PC game is absolutely insane. or delusional. or ScareCrow from Batman AA.
MS and Sony wont ban, but make it a pain in the ass for gamers to play their used games. kinda like how an auto company makes you jump tho hoops to..oh who am i kidding. the video game industry needs to accept the medium they are. and stop playing this victim game. from day 1 the industry has had used game sales. if you dont like it, join a different industry to make your money

other than UC2, the ps3 doesnt have the killer IP's the ps2 had.
Switched to PC? Maybe console hardcore players did but hardcore PC gamers are very unlikely to abandon the PC.

we will in 2013, but if you think they will be the graphical leap like from XBOX/PS2 to 360/PS3 you are kidding yourself. Consoles selling sweet spot is $250/$300 dollars, i see both MS and Sony not going as technically advanced as last gen because
1) the leap in graphics isn't going to grab gamers as last gen and 2) Console hardware developer's lag behind in giving their hardware enough RAM. Graphics can only go so far. There are too many variables a limited box ...
as a Sony console fan i was kinda sad they jumped on the Wii bandwagon and followed with Move. if they do it again with a screen on the controller I'd really have to question Sony on if they have ran out of ideas, not to mention PSA.
i actually have to give props to MS for tying something new with Kinect, even tho im not a MS fan, im a PC gamer.

The Gabe Cube is another way Valve is trying to expand Steam to console gamers. I think it's a great idea.
