I've never been in the "excited for custom controller" class. I like different colors, but at the same or cheaper price. The only reason I like different colors is so that I can make it easy to differentiate.

I think they got caught off guard and rushed everything after the PS4 reveal. I truly believe they were planning to launch this year and were spoon fed incorrect information about Sony in regards to hardware and launch time. Sony did the first thing right by hiring Microsoft's old marketing team. They said and did all the right things. Microsoft's "reveal" was rushed.

Probably not. It's a way for companies to sell a product. Kind of like "Retina Display". The good thing about resolution bumps is less AA will be needed which frees up some power.
Me personally, I would be fine with 4k for a long time.
UM, shutting down servers has nothing to do with digital. Game servers shutdown all the time.
Not being able to grab the DLC is kind of a D1ck move though. Maybe someone likes single player and bought the game used. They might then download some of the DLC to enhance their gaming. I remember spending days playing Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 on my PlayStation. No online needed.

EDIT: I was just showing that you can't use that as an argument. I agree that the more expensive machine should perform better, but price alone isn't the sole determining factor when it comes to game consoles.

In pc world, no. People play the games at the best resolution for them. On the flipside, they also buy GPU's that are in their price range.
I'm all for Microsoft. I prefer their console to Sony's, but their price has to reflect performance. They should drop Kinect, and price the XBone at 350.

The thing that has me confused is that they aren't even putting visuals before gameplay. The games are looking good, although Forza 5 did have a downgrade. They are putting Resolution before gameplay. WTF is up with that.
My take on it though is this: If the situations were reversed, concerning Microsoft/Sony, it would probably be the same thing.

Do they really need to respond? I remember when I purchased my original Xbox from EB games. The very next day it went down in price because of the ps2 price drop. I went to EB games and they gave me $100 in store credit. I bought a game and another controller.
