I preached all last gen the differences didn't matter. Get it where you had the most fun. I'm preaching the same this gen. The differences aren't "mind blowing" as some of you put it.

There has only been one new game, Knack. I still need to play that. I got bored of Killzone. Infamous I didn't like. Multiplats and Resogun have been holding the fort down for me.
That might change this holiday though because I will be getting an XBone.

Framerate and Resolution, IMHO, are different from "this game looks like crap". Without even knowing the Resolution of a game, your eyes can tell you if it looks like crap. Those videos look bad.

I completely agree. You actually have people saying they will not play a game (forget about if it's good or not) if it isn't 1080p/60fps. Every article about a screenshot or video has to have 1080p in the title. You have "journalists", and I use that term very loosely, picking the brains of the devs so they can be the first to leak info on the resolution because they know it would give them hits.
No one cares if a game is good anymore.
