They should have been able to deliver something on par with what MS and Sony are going to offer. Splitting the market in three mostly even chunks would been awesome for the consumers. Instead, the average gamer has to make a choice between Nintendo games and everything else. Just like the Cube.
Such a BS choice. I'll be picking up a WiiU whenever they release the next Monolith Soft game and a Playstation at some point but most people choose just one system.
Sadly, I see the WiiU performing on the level of the Gamecube. That is not "doom," just a significant let down. It had all the AAA Nintendo franchises but never put up the numbers that the massively 3rd-party supported PS2 had.
I just dont see the casuals jumping on this console like they did with the Wii.

I hate the Wii (love Xenoblade) but as of the start of next-gen the Wii has the numbers. In a couple years PS3 will probably pass the Wii by and win the console war.

Next gen does not equal this gen. Only a fool would consider PS3's showing among indie devs to be indicative of the next gen reset switch: by all accounts they are very much hating on MS and the opposite on Sony.

Brawl is a terrible camp-inducing fighter. Who cares if the "Core" Brawl game bans items and whose best players only use Metaknight or Snake.
Melee is where the dissatisfied Brawl player goes for challenge and endless depth.
