ya like Microsoft didn't do that with the hdmi on their 360's. I had the original 360 without hdmi and i didn't cry or whine and i already have a couple of ps3 controllers and i really do not care it happens as consoles get older, they get upgraded. Are you going to cry and whine when the 65 nm chips come out for the 360 and ps3 too?
