Was hoping for 3D Vision benchmarks as well.
Too bad the quality will be so shit that you won't be able to make anything out.
Next to Skyrim and Skyward Sword, this game is on the top of my list of games that I'm hyped for.
And 3.9 million of them are EA employees.
Record video with 0.3 megapixel cameras? No thanks.
A strong launch lineup shouldn't be much of a problem, since Nintendo has publicly acknowledged that they made a mistake in that department with the 3DS, and I don't think they're dumb enough to repeat that.
Plus, even if they delayed the system, I doubt the Wii U would beat Microsoft's and Sony's next console. Sony is known to make their hardware ridiculously powerful, and then sell it at a loss. By doing so, they increase the lifespan of the system drast...
Even 2 GB would be overkill. Look at how giant a lot of games on the 360 and PS3 are, and the 360 isn't even using it's full 512 MB, since a fair portion of that is reserved for background functions like cross-game chat and music. 1 GB of RAM would go a very long way, especially if Nintendo doesn't plan on implementing a lot of background tasks.
Nintendo isn't the type the go overboard with specs, so I expect a more natural transition in terms RAM compared to other consoles; between 512 MB to 1 GB of RAM that's of a higher speed/bandwidth than what's used in the 360.
I care more about what exclusives the Wii U will get, both 1st and 3rd party, more than I do about it's power. Assuming Sony and Microsoft DO wait a few years more to release their next systems, odds are that they'll be more powerful than the Wii U in terms of pure graphical capability, so it'll come down to exclusives when determining the system's worth.
Hopefully the PC version will get a high-res texture pack at some point, whether it be an official one or from the modding community.
I'm okay with this, so long as they have an adequate method of finding cheaters without risk of nailing someone who is completely innocent.
I can't see how this was possibly an accident.
That's kinda lame. Grinding for anything in Runescape was made infinitely more annoying due to the fact that everything was shared among the players, meaning that if a player cut down a tree, it was gone for everyone else, and so on. It made getting anything a hassle because everyone was sucking up all the resources.
Journalism is really beginning to make me sick.
Would that mean you could grind items and experience without people hogging all the resources? That would have been a godsend years ago when I still played.
Gonna miss watching the shift from day to night, but I can see the change being better in some ways if there's a lot to do that's exclusive to a certain period of the day.
Someone needs to invent a technology similar to OnLive that you can install on your gaming PC, which allows you to play your installed games over the internet under a private connection. Assuming it worked well, it would be killer for people who want to be able to take their PC gaming elsewhere without having to unhook and transport your tower, monitor and other stuff with you.
IT'S A PORT OF A GBA GAME. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU PEOPLE EXPECT?
.....My brain's still having trouble coming to terms with this.
XMB was a good UI, but it was designed around traditional button input, whereas the new one is designed for touch screen input. Both UI's make the most of what they have to work with. I suppose Sony could offer multiple UI's that you could switch between them depending on your preference.
