The only time X1 outsold PS4 was when PS4 was in extreme shortage and when X1 was $329 with 2-3 games and a $50 gift card. Essentially making it $199 in value.
And by that I mean popularity. Forza hit its peak with F3 and every one since hasn't come close. NFS has much more brand awareness. MS realistically only has one big gun so far that we know of. That could change.
Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank, MLB 15, Toukiden, Dragon Quest Hero's, Persona 5, Until Dawn, and Tearaway Unfolded are my most anticipated. However there are many more exclusives due this year and Quantum Break still isn't confirmed for this year. I'll get Tomb Raider on PS4 next year if it's better than the definitive edition.
No it doesn't. X1 has no AAA exclusives till Sept at the earliest and all we know FOR SURE is Halo 5. MS may have a better holiday(still to early to tell) but it is on track for a barren year just like last year.
People buy systems during the holidays based on what's out. They don't base it on just one or two months of releases so don't act like consumers are so narrow visioned they see what goes on year round. Also having games year round is a much better strategy for people who ALREADY bought your console and new buyers. Yeah I know some people who have never owned a PlayStation and are buying one for BB due to the lack of exclusives on their system. Not a lot and it's just antecodal but other companies are hurting themselves by having a barren first half.
I liked the reboot but it was too Uncharted. They copied a lot from that series but didn't have the magic that pushed it from good to great. Plus Lara was weak. She was always a badass but in the reboot she wasnt. I know that's part of the story but still didn't like that aspect.

With the PS4 we'd actually be able to get graphics in game as good if not better than the PS3 teaser. It was almost photorealistic!

It wasn't 800p. Lol! Granted it wasn't full res but saying it was 800p isn't correct. I agree with graphics not mattering much but it does play a big factor in what system is bought and with how long the previous gen went I'd say it is amplifying it way more because people waited so long and now want the best graphics console can get.

Far Cry 4 actually sucked compared to most games. Only 10 keys and after that it didn't work. 98% of all games let you do it as many times as you want.
