GT appeals more to the group that loves cars, age has nothing to do with it as there are people who are 16 and love cars. Also the group that like driving...
Of course it is the best console sim.
Honestly, how could they pick Sly over GT5? I have both, never played Sly before, and LOVE them to death from what I have played but GT5 is just better and despite having 3 games in the collection, GT5 will keep you occupied longer.
No other racing sim does that either, no other racing sim has as many features as GT5. That is how.
So they sold barely over half of them with 1.6 million in warehouses, yet retailers are still demanding more? That makes a whole lot of sense...
They can target the west by localizing Yakuza!
They aren't lying, just not telling the truth. Sure it's not "unlocked" but that doesn't mean it doesn't progress. They're spreading half-truths.
Darn, I thought this was real. :( I guess it's probably higher. I'd say 2.5 to 3 mil
All they said about the Go is that it was selling to their expectations, they never said what those expectations were just that they weren't poor.
I'll bet most of your favorite games required 2 huge patches or just left the glitches there because people were buying it and they didn't care(Fallout anyone?).
I don't see how one genre has more merit over another. This is a retarded argument.
They certainly aren't shipping what isn't wanted as it states RIGHT in the article that retailers are demanding them.
You do realize that if Sony lies they get big time lawsuits... They are required by law to state real figures, unlike VGChartz and other fanboy websites.
I respect their review, but I disagree with their opinion. I think the game is great, a 9/10. Does that mean their opinion is wrong? No, but it does mean that not everyone agrees with it. I don't let reviews mold my opinion on something and judging by positive player feedback, many do not either.
That's why no one(GT fans, racing fans, car fans, etc) cares about the reviews. These critics may have expected more, but most of the fans were blown away with all of the content never before seen in a GT game. You don't have to be a GT fan to love this game and unless you just hate simulators would you dislike it.
Yeah but at least Polyphony didn't trash talk Forza... The same can't be said about Turn 10.
How was it in development for half a decade? PS3 has only been out since 2006. When PS3 was announced it was called, "Vision Gran Turismo". They changed their development to GT HD in 2006, then started work on GT5 Prologue in 2007. 3 years at the best, but considering they were planning on expanding Prologue before starting on GT5 I would say that is debatable.
Yeah but GT5 is better than them all. PS3 exclusives are held at a higher standard than other games and it shows with things on GT5 being complained about but not on other games. If Modern Wafare 2 was only on PS3 it would have had reviewers bashing it for glitches and poor campaign.
As for waiting for Gamespot, I wasn't. Their preview sucked and why wait for someone to tell me what they think about the game?
That is incorrect and I am glad they included standard models, because I am a fan of cars and there are a lot of good standard cars. This game is great!
R2 had lots of heart pumping moments... Remember the tunnels with grims in them? More scary than anything on R1, imo.
