Most FPS games have one-hit melees anyway. This just does it more stylistically. I've tried bum rushing but it doesn't work that well. Usually I get shot so I stopped trying just melee. It works best if you sneak up to someone.
Are you really that thick? It isn't credible because it's all opinion based. It can't tell anyone how good or bad a game is, it can only tell you what people who get paid to say their thoughts think.
Lets go broader and look at all critics in all industries. Not just in games, but in movies and other objects the critics are often not inline with what the general population thinks.
@mintaro/ravenor - So I guess you see how pointless reviews are? No one can say the game isn't AAA, no one can say it is AAA until they've played it for themselves and I used an example to show how stupid people look for judging this game based on the reviews alone.
Saying this game, gameplay wise or story wise, is not great or is great is like saying you can judge a story without reading it.
I've seen many reviews saying the story was better than KZ2's and judging by how many cutscenes there are and how poor KZ2's was, I just don't agree. I don't even need to play it to tell you the story will be at least somewhat better.
GT5 blows every other GT out of the water.
Who cares? KZ3 is better than KZ2, we don't need numbers to show us that. I think GTA4 is all we need to look at to see that Metacritic is a bad indicator of how good a game is.

No, it does look better to me. Is it a big jump? No, but it is a nice sized improvement. Less jaggies, better textures, etc.
GT5 flopped? Gamers loved it and it sold over 5.5 million in the first two weeks. Try harder.

I'm tired of the B.S. that they always pull on every PS3 game and they really aren't stopping people from liking this game. Judging by the positive reception, I think you will be. I am stoked for this game! The beta is great.
PSP wasn't a success that they hoped it to be? If it lasts 4 more years at a cheap price it could easily get to 100 million like every other Playstation before it.
Also on a side note, I'd say PS3 will easily get to 100 million since it's already half way there and at the PS2's launch price.
I'm sure a lot more publishers will put their titles on PSN once the NGP comes out. It's an easy way for them to get more money unlike now where people simply get it on UMD.
There are plenty of PSP games on PSN for me to be satisfied though.

Yeah if you take away the great graphics and all of the cool gameplay elements it would be so bland! Oh wait, you can say that about any game... There are a lot of IFs in your post.
