Have been playing it all morning, DC is a cracking game, it has beautiful graphics, the car physics are great, A.I is challenging(not a bad thing), sure it's not worth a 10/10, maybe a 8-8.5/10 in my book, but those 3/10 & 5/10 scores are total nonsense and a little politically motivated me thinks.
Online will be there when it's there, plenty of stuff to do till then.
It's £29.99 on Steam for the game(excluding season pass), you are gonna pay £50 for a console version.
@bumnut
Not officially, but some clever peeps have discovered how, requires a easy config file tweak. Google "Alien isolation rift" for intructions.
Along side Elite Dangerous, the best Rift experience yet.
The other day, Nathan Clyne(of Southampton) managed to stop a ball going into touch by expertly bending his right leg all the way behind his back, while breaking and dislocating his foot. Although, he did manage to recover from this horrific injury and play a further 85mins.
If anybody gets a chance to use the Oculus DK2 with the game, just do it, you wont regret it.
I have been playing all morning, totally changes the experience, i was hunted and killed by a xenomorph in a dark corridor, totally scared the crap outta me.
Sega are nuts for not backing this game with full VR support.
They usually do maintenance on Bank Holidays when everyone in the UK is off, so this is a refreshing change.
Not surprised by this, the game is a looker(even on the X1) but mind numbingly dull to play.
I just tried it with Oculus DK2 support, my god, it is bloody amazing! It enhances the experience tenfold.
OT: Same here, no problems at all, even running through the Rift.
You have to be a V.I.G(Very Important Gamer) to see the vid.
Was that the one with Light-Sabres or the Death Star trench?
I remember playing a Light-Sabre game somewhere many many moons ago.
Was just thinking, this would be awesome with Rift support!
Agreed, i'am a "Sony" guy, but jeez, this is a total failure on Sony's and Evo's part, they should have anticipated the massive demand for the online portion of the game and used extra servers, once demand diminished, go back to using the usual amount.
I have noticed lately that when a relatively big game launches, the PSN just buckles under it's own pressure, not good Sony.
On a side note. i bought the full upgraded PS+ edition, will that b...
I tried both the fifa and pes demos, i bought fifa in the end. While pes trumps fifa in gameplay, pes' animation, graphics and general presentation is totally abysmal. The players still dont have that "human" touch and move like robots.
"In gameplay terms, the lack of open world exploration and use of fixed tracks may seem a little behind the times"
Well that's it boys and girls, expect low scores for Project Cars because it is not "open world"
Damn, the whole Driveclub thing is exploding big time, first low review scores and now this, i just hope the UK launch on Friday goes off without a hitch, because regardless of the low scores, i am still itching to play the game.
@elsuperamigo
GTA 5 had a release day embargo.
Your willing to drop nearly £400 on a console because a no-name site gave a game 3-10.
Trolling much.
This guy is just blatantly fishing for hits for his no-name site.
Disgrace that G20WLY has been marked for trolling as well for stating the truth, everyone needs to bub him up.
EDIT. think the submitter "Beerhound" is actually the guy who wrote the review.
I just dont understand how the reviews for this game are swinging wildly. Never seen a game divide opinion so much.
I will also be getting the game, looking forward to Friday.
A truly beautiful game, to top that, a great game to play as well.
@daggertoes83
I feel your pain, hopefully Sony/Evo can sort that out, but dont let that distract anybody from playing a good game when it hits the PSN.
