Uncharted 2 was too linear.

Haha so true. I have a couple PC gamer friends and whenever they argue with my about PC superiority I simply pull out the GTAV card and they quiet down pretty quick.
Xbox/ps3 hardware probably can't support more than 16 players. I don't think they have capped it just to be douches.

You have a point. Just Cause 2, while undoubtedly fun, soon got incredibly boring but mainly due to the horrible A.I.
The reason Rockstar games are so great is primarily due to their use of the Euphoria game engine which provides realistic NPC interaction and makes shootouts,driving and general play so much more enjoyable than other games such as SR3 and JC2.
Also, L.A. Noire was developed by Bondi Studios in Australia and was published, not developed, by Rockstar.
You don't have mandatory installs on an xbox 360.

Honestly, Euphoria engine has ruined my capacity to appreciate open world games like this. They just seem so crappy in comparison to GTA 5

This game looks pretty swell, not too fussed on graphics if the gameplay is addictive.
Just look at Crysis 2 and 3. (I still think Crysis 1 was amazing though).
