@daniel potter steam is the digital store and consumer rights are a thing that steam doesn't adhere to.
origin is ea's download service; so why wouldn't it be on there and speeds are a lot faster than steam. Would i like everything on steam yeah but its 2014 and origin is pretty good.

Valve is a dev with lot of experience; im sure they have something in mind to retroactively fix all the compatibility issues.
@wonderfulmonkeyman Where did i say all publishers are pulling support? Also publishers aren't pulling support on other platforms(before this I don't remember a time where publishers have done this)

Resolution is a big thing; smaller studios and indie teams can still hit 1080p on platforms and remain faithful to their original vision of the game. Larger teams can also easily hit this. Hitting what a platform is known to be capable of should be expected. I don't get why people think it's either graphics or fun gameplay why not have both which many games do have.

*Face palm* ANYONE who thinks ea is the worst company in america is out of tough with reality.
Forgetting about the fact there are financial companies that intentionally created a global recession or any of the healthcare insurance companies that still give bonuses for how many claims they deny and forgetting about the other myriad of companies that are on that are far worse; Ea doesn't have a monopoly over the videogame market if you don't like their games don't buy them...
max downloads on steam on average is around 400-600kbs on my 6meg connection while on origin its usually 800kbs-1meg a second. I am in the uk so it could be that the servers here aren't as great as elsewhere.
