I understand an online only game like titan fall using the cloud for extra magic/power. But what about a single player game that's offline? Will it be a lesser game off the cloud? Or will you have to be online for all games?

It was a PS4 ad, not for the games themselves, so why would you care for gameplay?
Also, the PS4 can do a lot of things, so to try and make a features commercial, would be a waste.
