the spin machine is really stretching it now.
that will soon become bricks. Heck, it doesn't even play games. Bad choice for MS but they were just trying to spite Sony.
nintendo = trix.... for kids.
Almost laughable.
clearly Microsoft backed the wrong format, if only to spite Sony. Now 360 owners that have bought the $200 HD-DVD add-on are essentially going to get screwed as the format dies.
In fact, it's still not available on Amazon, and it wasn't available at the Gamestops and Best Buys in New York until mid-February.
It's not apples to apples folks. Besides, March is the true Worldwide launch of the PS3 anyhow, and the games are a coming..
Mickey would be firing the black arrow of death at HD-DVD.
it's only available from private sellers on Amazon at $799 and up... don't be a moron and fall for stupid spin articles like this one.
so basically we've just watched a cleverly disguised ad for the 360.
a nice spin article, but March is just around the corner..
if the 360 had a built in high def. dvd drive, you'd like it. If it was as sleek and shiny as a PS3, you would love it. Sour grapes...
they will soon have a brick drive with very limited titles to play.
FNR3 looks better on the PS3, and COD is essentially even.
that the PS3 is an entertainment hub. People will buy it as a Blu-Ray player alone, use it to play the largest library of existing games (PS2), browse the web, store their MP3s and play music and videos, as well as store and view digital photos. On top of all of this, Motorstorm, Final Fantasy, MGS, Lair, GT, and other heavy hitter exclusives are on their way.
Interesting that it doesn't mention the PS3 sold 24K units vs. the 360's 8K units last week in Japan.
It's just fascinating how desperate Microsoft and xbox fanboys are with their posts and negative comments about the PS3. Play your consoles and enjoy them. The PS3's day will come, it's only been 8 weeks following release and so far the games are almost all ports. Sony understands that the PS3 will have a 5 year life-cycle and this is still pre-worldwide launch.
The PS3 has been out for less than 2 months... let's wait until it's formal worldwide launch in March - when the real games (not ports) start coming out.. Microsoft is known for playing dirty pool and this is an obvious paid PR article, don't drink the Kool-aid.
seems misleading to say the 360 won, if there had been more Wii's and PS3's available, then the figures would have been very different. My guess is the Wii would have beat the 360 hands down this holiday season.
As each input needs to be calibrated separately, the biggest complaint from the article being that blu-ray has richer colors can easily be rectified by setting the color setting lower. This is an obvious PR spin paid for by the HD-DVD camp.
It's a very established concept known as advertising, and it should come at a price. Better the advertiser pays than the viewer...
pay of no mind to him.
