The plague did not spread because it was infectious. It was a side effect of the Ray Sphere energy.That is why they were able to use the RFI to cure them.Anyone who was not a Conduit caught in the energy that came from the Ray Sphere was in danger of catching the plague that it spread. @ abc1233. That still doesn't make his death pointless despite people disagreeing with me. If he didn't do what he did all of humanity would be dead. However he saved the people within the radius of the RFI which allowed more of humanity to survive then if he had done nothing.If he didn't sacrifice his life then the disease would have killed everyone and no one would have survived at all.

I disagree.It didn't make Cole sacrifice pointless at all.Cole did this so he could cure the disease that was killing people. His plan was never to kill all the Conduits.That was just an unfortunate side effect. If Cole hadn't done what he did in the good ending millions of people would have died.It is strange how people keep arguing about the character change but don't seem to have paid attention to the story or the endings at all in the last game.
