Hmm it could be a deciding factor for someone looking at a check box between the Xbox one S and the Pro. The average uninformed consumer may take note and choose the S over the Pro, specifically because maybe that's important to them? But will it affect sales negatively because of this I highly doubt it. Sony will own this holiday season. Too many shiny new toys in their arsenal

But you call No Mans Sky an exclusive. Probably coming to Xbox. ROTR is exclusive until it hits Playstation in October. Dead Rising 4 can only be played on Xbox One in December. It will hit ps4 at a later date but if Sony only fans treat DR4 like they did ROTR they won't care by the time it hits. Timed exclusive still has the word exclusive in it.

It works GREAT IN NO MANS SKY in most instances. I've seen planets I was truly mesmerized by and I've seen planets that look like Frieza paid them a visit. Because the possibilities are endless I think it furthers creativity and creates possibilities we might never have imagined
It's pathetic the people discounting this as, no one buys Bluray everyone streams content now. Bottom line this move for Sony not to include a UHD player is eerily reminiscent of 2013 Microsoft and DRM and always onlin. Microsoft including a Bluray UHD player gives consumers the option. Sony decided for you that you didn't need a UHD player. So kudos to Microsoft and kudos for all the Sony shills who are ok with being told what they need and don't need
