Nope this is going to be that Switch port.
Prepare for meltdowns.
Indeed the Switch is already like 25ml ahead of both the PS5 and Next Xbox
Hopefully it's a Direct type thing and not like Inside Xbox.
If this first show doesn't bring the goods, you can bet most people won't bother tuning in for the following streams.
Stadia will likely be forgotten once the PS5 is announced. At most they might lose some of the casual userbase who brought the PS4 for just FIFA/Madden/GTA but thats about it.
They can both co-exist just like Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo.
And MS will likely beat PSNow quite easily and knowing Google they will probably get bored of the game industry and drop Stadia in a few years like they usually with everything else they start.
Their last E3 was pretty good if you ask me. And with the Nintendo partnership coming could be great again this year.
Switch will be No. 1 till PS5/Next Xbox release.
It's the only console which has more than one AAA exclusive confirmed for this year.
It's already started, visiting all those studios was the first steps of the marketing.
Seems overkill if Sony did buy them they have enough first party games as it is.
I agree GTA4 timed DLC was $500ml the whole of T2 would be billions and Sony doesn't have that money.
Apple/Amazon/Google/MS maybe but not Sony.
I find this highly unlikely.
1. I don't see how Sony could afford it, I don't think even MS could afford it. GTA exclusivity alone is worth billions.
2. Sony don't need it they have great first party games already this would be overkill.
If anything Google might purchase them.
Yeah Google and MS are going to own this space.
I think there will be a streaming and traditional box like what MS might be doing.
And Google is a very "me too" company, just look at Android, Google Home and the Pixel. Which are examples of their new hardware direction....and of course Chromecast is another hardware example.
This could be big if it truly is a non-streaming console.
They might make a dent in the industry if they sell a super powered console at half the price of Sony/MS and Google usually go that route when they want to break into a new market, since they can afford it.
Cheap + 3rd Party games could work.
PSN probably wasn't built with crossplay in mind.
Which isn't surprising since they didn't consider users might want to change the usernames either.
Considering it's currently selling the most and the fastest selling console compared to the PS4/XB1 I can see them sticking with the Switch till the end of the PS5/XB2 generation.
Apparently it's not a streaming device and will be more powerful than the XB1 X.
Could be a real competitor to the big 3.
These all point to an April Direct.
