When Playstation tried to do this with PS3/PSV/PSP store 2 years ago it was met with outrage and they had to reverse the decision. Now we see xbox doing it and i havent heard a peep except this article.
Although I really liked both SM and MM, the content released for SM2 wasnt pulling me in. The new story trailer though really changed my mind. Im pretty hyped now.
I've been wanting a remaster/remake of 1 and 2 SOOO bad. Some of my favorite games of the generation, and were short so I played through them multiple times.
Unfortunately the games only dold a couple million copies, so i have my doubts we'll see anything. The animations are also a bit rough, so whatever they release would likely require a fair amount of work.
None of those games had dedicated servers on console in the first place? Were always player hosted. Did something change?
Hmmm....interesting. It shouldn't matter though because Phil has iterated countless times that the whole point of the merger is about a future "where players globally have more choice to play their favorite games". Right....RIGHT? Lol
"Microsoft had originally floated the idea of acquiring mobile giant Zynga, but ultimately massed on the deal because Zynga wasn't big enough. Take-Two Interactive ended up purchasing Zynga for $12.7 billion."
ZYNGA NOT BIG ENOUGH???? AT $12.7 Billion? MS is something else.
This is what im curious about. To me Indiana Jones IS Harrison Ford. Im skeptical that theyll get him to do it tho.
I had predicted this would happen back when they announced the title as just "Forza Motorsport". This is what i would expect with many of their long term franchises. Essentially they can either reduce the team size and put less games out, reducing their costs in game development, or they can maintain team size and work on something else while supporting forza with content drops.
They reveal the essential games the wednesday before the first tuesday of the month. For the extra and premium its the wednesday before the 3rd tuesday of the month. Always at noon EDT.
Lol I JUST bought Far Cry 6 for $5 at a garage sale on saturday. Oh well, at least i own it.
"11 first party titles" dude that's the biggest load of shit ive ever seen. Are you taking talking points from Aaron Greenberg? Most of those were just DLC for existing games. The only new stuff was clockwork and South of Midnight. Granted those looks great, but still. Starfield looked really good, Hellblade didnt show shit, Fable gave us a small glimpse, and Avowed looked lackluster, but we knew about all of those.
I was really only taking first party into account in my grading, because 3rd parties are coming to both. I think it was just easier to be interested in the new first party games from xbox because we did see in game, whereas the new PS games it was hard to get a feel, besides Helldivers 2, which does look like it could be fun. I'll also count phantom blade 0 for PS because i think its exclusive, which was actually my favorite game shown. Really neck and neck between that and clockwork revo...
I think the Xbox Showcase was better than the PS one, but definitely not what i was expecting. Both had copious amounts of 3rd party games. Xbox had mostly cinematic in game trailers while PS used CG. Really in terms of new game reveals neither did anything too crazy. South of Midnight looked cool and Clockword Revolution looked awesome, but aside from that we got a brief look at fable, hellblade and avowed underdelivered IMO. Starfield is also looking a lot better than last year, but its als...
So confused at the logo/font for this game. I dont want to be mean but every time i see it it looks like it was made by a 10 year old. Seems odd for a relatobelt high budget game.
Lol its not as if theyre hurting now. Down 300 million, from $1.1 billion to $800 million.
I liked Days Gone, but it was a 7.5/10, even after the bugs were fixed. I think a sequel had tons of potential, especially with the secret ending, but i also understand why it was canned.
I'm not sure any first party studio could pull off a new motorstorm correctly, though. Evolutions talent nailed the physics, and you can still see some of their DNA at codemasters. Would be hard to replicate that feel.
PS Plus essential is imo the best value in gaming. GwG isnt even close anymore. PS Plus free games also preceded GwG, so i guess xbox must have been reacting....lol
When it comes to Gamepass vs premium it really depends on what you prefer. Gamepass is more expensive but gets bigger games at launch. PS Plus on the other hand has a huge catalogue. And no it's not all shovelware, not even close.
I have premium but honestly wish i wouldve just stayed with...
@optimuDK Just because the cloud market is 2% now doesnt mean it will be in 10 years. The market is expanding rapidly. Look at how mobile expanded. 15 years ago the iphone was just getting on its feet. Microsofts 10 year deals where they take 100% of the revenues shows they arent willing to play along. That is an example of them already exerting their market influence.
Just because something was said months ago doesnt mean it makes the game any better. Just means they were setting expectations.
