I'm suprised Sony/MS didnt give every single youtuber a PS4. You would only have to give a way a 1000 to reach a large portion of youtube gamers, and then they all will play ps4 at least for the first month and there subscribers would see. You give pewdiepie a ps4, you give it to 8 million people.
Then just spin it like you're giving them consoles to make sure everypone could see next gen.

PS4/XB1 GOTY makes sense. It's of 2013, the calender year.
Games that come out in November are still up for GOTY, I get that you dont have a full year's worth of games, but they just mean next gen game of 2013.
It's most likely because they don't want to completely ignore next gen in their awards. And if they had these launch games in the 2014 GOTY awards you would be back out here moaning "that game technically wasnt out this year!"...

I was just throwing the idea out there that these strong early sales could be an indication of the changes in the market these consoles are selling to, not the potential lifetime sales of these consoles.

Are they actually selling well though? They are selling fast but couldnt considering that consoles reached 80 mil a piece last gen is 2/3 mil anything to shout about?
To me it just indicates that people were hungry for next gen after a 7 year cycle, and that people are more aware of preordering and online shopping than previous generations.
MS said that the 360 had double the preorders of the 360 but that doesnt mean that there will be 160 million Xbox One...

@Lukejrl This has fucked EA up. Stock were going weird, half the community hates them, they can't work on DLC untill it's finishes, lots of extra cost making the game work post production.
I for one dont think EA will be doing this again. This hasn't been a good thing for EA, and I trust that DICE didnt want or try to release a bad game. They were trying to make the best game they can.

I don think it's fair to compare sales atm. There was date differences and it's complicated with all the locations and stuff.
The only fair comparisions would be after christmas in the UK and US. An extra week here or there wont really be a difference after xmas because if you were going to get it at launch you would before xmas.

I've just remembered an even huger point. People all over the 2K forums are reporting VC losses in the 100K range, literally days worth of play time, or real money spent on VC is just dissapearing.

Yeah you're right msn. Imagine the outrage if Sony/MS had VC in Uncharted/Halo. Every weapon, every skin had to be bought with a VC that took ages to earn, the outrage would be off the charts.
I find it dissapointing that all these big media companies write stories about Forza because they know they'll get console war hits. Yet when 2K do it, no media outlet cares. It just shows you they don't care about justice, or what's right. They play into the console war...

I'm so dissapointed that nooone knows. This is by far worse than Forza or EA. This seeps it's way into absolutely everything in the game. And what's the benefit? You get to buy the fun that we used to have for free. We have things taken away,, just so we can buy them.

The article talks about 'VC implementation' not just 'VC'.
Theres alot wrong. Did you know that when playing My Team you have to pay your players a salary, and if you have 3/4 gold players you immediately cant even earn VC playing that mode. Sucks so bad.
Trust me there is so much wrong with how VC is implementated. You have to grind for hours to buy a sleeve foryour player, but it's very cheap to buy. That's not a good balance. it sho...
