I just love how finding a problem with a new product is "newsworthy". Sarcasm.
Polish? All this article points out is a lack of anti-aliasing implemented in the shaders. The texture filtering is also lower quality. That doesn't mean a lack of polish, it could simply be limitations of Wii U (gasp!)... Or issues when porting shaders (used for an nVidia card) from another console to an ATI card.
The point is that not all games are created equal and they shouldn't have a fixed price rate. Pricing should be based on the value of the game (as well as cost of development).
Yeah, most games should probably be $30-40, but games like UC2, or MGS4 should be $60.
Great article. I had never even thought about this. It is so true. "You get what you pay for" just doesn't apply to the pricing scheme of console video games.
Agreed. I played through it twice. That's saying a lot for me as I can rarely sit through a game for long now days...
I'll try to look at the positive side of all this...It just shows how vulnerable we all really are. Hopefully all of this leads to major improvements in data security for the everyday web user.
MGS4 is my most favorite game ever. I really hope that we get something similar in the future. I'll buy any console that it's on :).
Avatar is one of the most complex CG films created. I'm sure my GTX 460 and 12 core Xeon is more powerful than the PS3. 1 FRAME of Avatar would probably take DAYS to render on my machine.
So yeah, maybe the PS3 has graphics that rival Avatar if you plan on playing 1 frame a week. Lol.

I know the feeling. MGS4 was the first game in a long time that really "pulled me in". I've played through it a couple times now and it's probably one of my favorite games. Most games that take 20+ hours I never finish anymore...

I use the move controls. They're not perfect, but great for someone that highly dislikes using a joystick.
I used to use the XIM. Now I don't bother since I have Move :).

I'm about 5 hours into playing the beta. At first I was very frustrated with the Move controller and was contemplating selling it.

How does it fit for someone that can't wear an iPod headset?
The only way I could use the previous generation was to have it literally hang from my ear. I don't have that "edge" on my ear that catches the ring of the ear piece. For instance all iPod/iPhone headsets are useless to me because they fall out immediately.
For the love of...Get your abbreviations correct! This is laughable. For all you saying 9gb... that means 9 gigaBIT. SO... 9gb = 1.125 GB. The lowercase "b" vs capital "B" in "GB" is significant and completely changes the value. This is basic computer storage...
