I know your comment is a fanbot made satire but Sony needs competition (Switch is not directly competing against them). Monopoly is never good in any industry because the only player eventually starts doing whatever they want, and someone has to keep it in check. Like how Sony kept the live service dream of Xbox in check back in 2013.
This isn't a very bright comment.
No shit sherlock. PS5 show is incoming, xsx also haven't shown any of their big guns.
The article was written way too early.
We know the law of diminishing returns. Just because the previous gens saw a significant jump doesn't mean that the next gen will. I mean... how much can you improve from RDR2 or TLOU2 without spending a fortune and without increasing development time? Game development life cycle has already become long enough.
Tag it as 'first look at the next gen gameplay' which is supposed to show the tech advancement... then show indie budget titles.
Yeah, not a very smart move.
There would be plenty of other opportunities to give smaller titles a chance.
Hopefully the game will be backward compatible @60fps on PS5. Would love to play it again.
That niche game developer fromsoft is long gone. As a third party dev, their titles sell in multi-million copies these days. Bringing them in to develop first party exclusives will be difficult now I think.
@RosweeSon "Gears tactics is meh because I think so"
"PS will also catch up because... I think so"
"Rest of the games are way off because I have that crystal ball"
Nice arguments there mate.
Why do people act like that the subscription fee is the only source of revenue? They also sell full priced games, gears 5 sold more than gears 4. Gears tactics is still holding the top selling position on steam despite having an AAA price tag.
In the end, the benefit of gamepass comes down to the amount MS is gaining from it minus the amount they are losing from individual game sales. From that perspective, I think gameapass is doing nicely with those numbers.
A tiny portion of M-Two only helped the main team of RE3 remake, mostly to gather some experience with RE engine.
At least do your research well.
You are overestimating the number of people who can wait 2-3 years and completely spoil their anticipated game in the meantime. The consoles will be a lot stronger in the next-gen so not like the PC versions will be leaps and bounds ahead of the console versions. And that will make even less amount of people wait.
Sure there will be some people who can wait and refrain themselves from buying a PS perhaps... but those lost sales can easily be mitigated by selling extra copie...
Lol, more like Square Enix somehow just got away with that stupid decision.
Yeah man, but somehow I just saw Hellblade 2 in my hallucination.
I think the size and scope of games like RDR 2 or Witcher 3 take them to a point where direct comparison with another game just falls apart.
Even most of the hardcore W3 fans know literally everything you said. The game did many things wrong individually but as an overall package combined together, the game really creates a strong impression for a lot of people.
"art style looked sorta ugly"
Your taste is ugly
"Compare this to her (Lara Croft) portrayal in the 2013 reboot and its sequels. It is a night and day transformation for the better. I suspect the fact the reboot’s lead writers were female had much to do with this. If the gaming industry wishes to attract female gamers and female game developers, this is the right way to go about it."
Let's see then, the fact that reboot’s lead writers were female also had much to do with the rebooted Laura having less person...
@mikeslemonade Let's say we live in a world where there's no multiplat game and every single game is exclusive to one of the 3-4 platforms. So if you get 1 platform with your hard earned money, you miss out 3/4th of the published games.
How is that 'good for gamers' and how thinking otherwise makes someone dumb? I'm legitimately interested to hear your argument
EA in forthcoming future.... delux edition, premium edition, mega edition, gold edition, platinum edition, collector's edition, early edition, budget edition, DLC pack edition, subscription edition, preorder edition, premium mega edition, premium mega delux edition, ultra premium mega delux edition....
Seriously, all these are getting ridiculous.
"Still, 30+ minutes to walk through the entire in-game map is insane. Is there even a game that matches it in terms of map scope?"
Why the author makes it sound that impressive, especially when when most of the time the player was rather slow and struggling against stamina bar?
All is well but the doo doo flavored potato chips came after 6 years of waiting for something nice.
"Because if it's a one time fee with no microtransactions I'm down to play it"
Here's the fun fact, Chinese people are even more negative about the game because apparently NetEase is pretty well known over there for micro-transaction galore and anti-consumer practices.
Now you can only pray that Blizzard will back of...
@Vasto If you haven't seen already, here's a teaser: https://youtu.be/WyYzrcZurA...
