Well said Fox and I completely agree. Halo 5 mp was a step in the right direction, but still needs work. Halo 5 campaign was just terrible and highlights the fact that 343 still didn't completely know what Halo was about back in 2013/2014 (when they started working on it).
After Halo 5, I would shut 343 down for a month, break them into teams, and make them complete Halo 1 - Reach campaigns and report what their findings were. Present to me why you believe they were so...

I get your point and hear you. But they need to treat MCC re-release as the last halo this gen imo. They need to save halo 6 for the launch of the next xbox and come out swinging. Gears 5 and whatever other games they have should carry them out of this gen. Its not ideal, but I think its the best option for long term.
Save Halo 6 for next gen. Show the fanbase you can get Halo right with at least re-releasing the MCC in a respectable state it deserves with PC cross-play.
Come out with Gears 5 this gen.
And drop Halo 6 the beginning of next gen with new engine and story line that the game deserves.

I still feel like they will surprise. Doesn't make sense not to. Not with hardware, but with at least one upcoming game next year. No doubt.

See Jinger I completely agree with your post. Cosmetic MTs wont ruin the game, but they completely cripple the experience of gaining certain armor/skins through objective work in gameplay. I want cosmetics that arent just pure luck (overwatch) and more you need to do x, y, and z to obtain this cool looking piece (halo 3).
Hopefully gears, halo, and forza will take this stance with their next games. Not sure though.

What is the difference of where the money is coming from? A well established developer that has been in the market for 20 years, or new guys looking for funds to make their own masterpiece. Seriously, why does it matter where the money comes from? No one is forcing you to donate. We know you haven't, so why are you so concerned? You waited 10 years for TLG without blinking an eye. Leave the obvious bias at the door.

The gameplay in 5 was a step in the right direction. But they need to return to the classic halo movement that made Halo iconic. The story was atrocious in 5 though.
