Its probably blown out of proportion. I died a fair few times and came out fine (just platinumed it). And there is difficulty settings to fall back on too

Contra and double dragon was coop greatness

If it is a bluff.. well the lie certainly would make people on their toes the whole time, which would suit the theme of the game. I certainly have been paranoid about dying, been playing extra careful, maybe thats how they want people to play the game

Except this game has an easy mode so what ive played of it so far.. youve really gotta suck if you die too any times. Its actually not comparable at all to Souls excwpt for the atmosphere. And yes permadeath its a mechanic that fits with the game, everytime she dies the blight spreads in her arm and if it gets to her brain, well thats all she wrote

@Poli Games: Good video and I mostly agree with the points made in your video. It should be pointed out though that the "online only" is for the marketplace , but still an annoyance none the less as we are going to be stuck with connecting to server messages every time the game starts. Wont be buying this game either, or at best buying it second hand so that the publisher does not get a dime from me

The voice in my head says I must buy this

Praises the game mechanics throughout the video you wouldn't think its a 1/10. Comeon Jimmy, you know better than this

Famitsu likes dishing out high scores for Japanese games, though I dont doubt that DQ 11 is gonna be awesome

Yeah but it does require you to connect to the marketplace, which means everyyone is going to see the annoying connecting to server on the startup screen. Its merely an annoyance, but something that did not have to be there in the first place thanks to greed

*Proudly written by a WB employee*
In all seriousness though lets see if you still sing the same tune when you keep seeing connecting to server messages , as you have to be synced to their marketplace, which probably also affects players that dont purchase from the marketplace

I started playing it and I must say I dont like the game so far. Pacing is slow and you just walk for 20 mins to half an hour without fighting, not to mention an annoying door puzzle to begin with. Im not saying its bad overall because I just touched the surface, but id be pissed if my save got deleted and id have to go through all this again

"Kisela starts off by citing a survey regarding the raping and killing of women in South Africa, because when you want to talk about a “national crisis” you definitely want to start with a third-world country with cultural problems outside of video games that most of your audience has no part in"
I completeyly agree with your article. It's like the writer has no understanding whatsoever of the culture and socio political situation in SA whatsoever. Id be really surprise...

But micro-transactions can affect everyone. Please consider the following:

1. Development time would have to be spent to incorporate the market into the game. And no doubt the developers have to adhere to the publishers release date. So it's pretty much a given that some time has been taken away from developing the game within the specific development timeline.
2. In this particular case, you have to be always online for the micro-transactions. Inevitably, al...
