BitbyDeath was a bit off as the first party company can own the second party company, example being Bungie. They were wholly owned by Microsoft, thus not able to make games for any other platform.
Think of them as a subsidiary company to Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo.

Most of those are pretty fair points, though using the word JRPG frequently doesn't necessarily make him a bad writer. His thoughts were cohesive and understandable, while presenting information as to why the game was good.
Its a shame that passion, or as you say "sensationalism", can't show through in a review, I don't think it made the review biased just by stating his opinion, which is what a review is after all.
