You can relive the past on a playstation 2 while playing KH1 and KH2. Plus of course it will do better in America than Japan because Japan already had the final mix features before.
So why play the same game all over again with no new features. The only difference is HD and different system, which not going to make much of a difference.

Update: The dream seems to be dead (thanks EdLambdaTeos). This goes back as far as November of last year, with a GameFAQs member claiming to have found a file with similar contents as what’s posted below. The same user said last week that he made the whole thing up. Doh!
