@ocelet It would have never been as big an issue if the requirement was enforced from the start. As others have pointed out before, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar etc have all required account linking and/or third party launchers for Steam games too. Selling the games in territories where it was against Sony's ToS to make a PSN account and then later telling those users they can't play without it, the whole thing has just been really badly managed by Sony.
@MrNinodan
It only takes a few seconds browsing most N4G article's comment sections to see this place is full of toxic console players, the amount of PC masterace type comments pale in comparison. Hell, just make a vaguely negative comment about Playstation or Xbox and see how quick your comment gets downvoted, like this one probably will be.🤣
PS5 Pro announcement? Cool whatever, hopefully it's alongside trailers of some first party games in development we still know little about.
On the topic of who the Pro is for and why it would exist, it would be a PS5.5, that would be slightly more powerful than the base model and in theory let users play games at more stable frame rates, higher resolutions, have better raytracing etc. You want a big boost, wait for the PS6, it's not like this didn't happen last...
@Petebloodyonion
They've already given up. Despite your comment being a direct reply to theirs, which would have given them a notification, they've made 4 more comments on other articles and chosen to ignore this one. It's too bad because i was going to link my PSN profile trophies to show my Marvel's Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War (2018) platinum trophies, along with trophies for several other Playstation games from a generation ago , that they tried to...
Don't really care about the suits but what's up with them toning down the blood and gore?
That's often getting overlooked, with people more focusing on a few costume changes and the ridiculous "hard r" outrage, propagated by the usual suspects in the gaming media.
It's been over 4 years since that game released. I wonder if Ninja Theory will even be around 4 years from now, maybe not even 4 months, lol.
I just figured out where they got the extra A to make AAAA games, they copy and pasted an extra A 😂
I remember the same thing in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft sure love to copy paste stuff in their games.
Effort? They were recently advocating for AI to do some of the work for them.
They'll probably try tell us this will help them not raise prices of games, then raise them 6-12 months later anyway but keep the ads in.
That's what

The current discount of 66% off probably helps. Was good enough to convince me to finally buy it.
"If you're hungry, you're not playing at your full potential, order a sub with Uber Eats, after linking your EA account and unlock the Subway skin for your weapons today"
A new Medal of Honor game? I thought that series died 12 years ago but just looked it up and saw it had one VR game in 2020 since then.
EA Sports, it's in the bargain bin
In game ads suck, it's even worse when I start a game and a big banner or popup is advertising DLC I've already bought, like Mortal Kombat 11 still does.
Idk, I mean, it's hard to take you seriously when you're calling last generation games like Horizon, Marvel's Spider-Man and God of War (2018) new IP and ideas, when they all have sequels and spinoffs now, even the reimagined God of War can't be called new, since it has a sequel now too. If I asked someone about what some of the new games are, I wouldn't expect them to tell me a game from 7 years ago on a previous console, that has a sequel and a VR spinoff is one of them....
Summary
Responding to the question of where are the new IPs from Microsoft and Sony, you ignored Microsoft, showing your obvious Playstation bias, mentioned several games from the last generation, some already having several entries in the franchise by now, forgot Returnal, claimed God of War 2018 absolutely counts as a new IP, then pretended you didn't, claimed I was moving goalposts after you had already moved the goalpost from new ip to just new games, completely ign...
Pete mentioned new IPs, you're the one that moved the goalpost to include new games. Spider-Man, Horizon (2 games, a VR spinoff and a third game in development) can hardly be called new IP as this point. God of War: Betrayal isn't anything special but I doubt you've played that and you trying to say God of War (2018) absolutely counts as a new IP is hilarious. :)
Somewhat but the whole Helldivers 2 situation has put a giant spotlight on future PlayStation games on PC right now. Whether a PSN account is required for GoT on PC or not, their next port after that won't get anywhere near as much attention, if you need PSN or not.
