i know this sounds cheesy, but the ps2 had an almost "organic" feel to it. this gen is clouded by fanboys and sale numbers.

its ashame really because i bought IV for the game itself and for the supposed dlc which never showed.

you cant compare an "upgradeable" PC to a games console. one, because its UPGRADEABLE and two, because it costs alot more to build a pc rig worthy of playing games like crysis on their highest quality.
games like uncharted and gears of war may not rival your beloved crysis in the graphics department, but they definitely rape it when it comes to actually being FUN. y'know, fun? what games are SUPPOSED to be about.
