I think the potential money EA could make from Sony's install base from the franchise and considering Sony are completely dominating and stomping the competition (Microsoft) into the ground in that regard, will play a much larger role than any checkbook.

When comparing the two, it's much more powerful, easier to develop for, and has a larger user base. Won't be surprised if that 3% rises even more in the future when the install base gap widens even more. (Especially when it hits Japan).

I'm willing to bet Ryse would've looked AND performed much better on PS4 though given how almost every multiplat does and the gap between exclusives. (Killzone SF > Ryse , DriveClub > Forza) etc.
