Exactly... mario, ssb, zelda, and mario kart are nintendos biggest franchises... only 1 of those didnt come out this year and expected to drop next year and also be a port with a few added things.
Id really like to know what next year tops mario and zelda?? I could see a luigi game being amazing but again not for 2018.

Its no longer hard to find or outsold EVERYWHERE. All of us will mostly agree if nintendo can outdo 2017 hardware and software it will be nothing short of amazing.

Its funny that xbox fans think that just because the pro came out in 2016 or the ps4 has sold 70+ mil it will mean the ps5 will come any later. Once the base ps4 is 199 and the console has sold over 100 mil i pretty much expect the ps5 to release and as early as fall 2019 = 6 years since ps4 launch.

I agree with a lot of what you said except, there is no clean slate in 2018 for xbox. The best way they could have an opportunity that monumental is by hitting the console refresh button. This gen has already been decided and its a bit late this far into gen 8 for ms to finally get hit with some act right. Im with you. Ive yet to play it but i usually wait for a couple price drops before i buy games. So ill prob pick this up this week if all the great things ive heard about it prove to be true. Its currently sitting at 88 on meta which is amazing for a new ps4 exclusive 🤗

Doubtful, its evident most ppl dont even buy their first party games like they used to and esp not new i.p. unless its truly amazing... All other ms 1st partys have seen declining sales where they used to sell gangbusters. Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Recore, and Halo Wars 2 to name a few. If this game flops in sales there wont be a 2nd and it def wont be "MS's next big franchise".
I prefer nioh and nier. Botw changed too much to the formula for my liking just like skyward sword... the last great zelda was twilight princess imo... Mario is hands down better than its predececors where zelda is not. I almost wish i didnt have every zelda game to compare botw wild to than i might just find it amazing. The game can actually be beaten by skipping +90% of the game and going straight to ganon. 1 thing is for sure tho, japanese devs are back on top.
They really did but with almost every big game postponed until the switches release or skipped on the wiiu all together it makes one wonder if 2018 can compete... also, if botw can be on the wiiu so could mario odyysey, splatoon 2, xenoblade 2, and almost every other game released on the switch yet its nowhere to be seen.
