for one they can have a separate story co-op mode with different story and characters but in the same universe. basically what The Old Republic is doing. It can have dungeons/levels and boss battles. Of course with the difficulty put up
really the only people who think multiplayer games hurt gaming are people with NO friends. Games most of all are meant to entertain, and its purpose is to create fun not to express some artistic message. Nothing more fun than enjoying something with your friends whether that be online or split screen. The real problem is developers having copy and paste multiplayer in their games without any real thought on how they can improve the multiplayer exprience

yes that is because most sequels seem less fresh does not mean inferior. 9 is an awesome score i personally had fun with games that had lower scores on metacritic (ex. Just Cause 2). like seriously who gives a shit
