Just out of curiosity, (not a fanboy or anything like that) what do you think of other big franchises that don't change a whole heap. Games like God of War, Halo, CoD etc? I think there is a time and place to change gameplay entirely, a first sequel is a place to just refine the games positives. After that you can experiment.

While I agree it should be your choice, I know that every assistant has to meet a certain percentage of sales that are used games. If you don't reach that percentage then you can get in trouble from your managers. Happens in almost all game stores. The sales person will be hesitant cause they want you to help them meet their required sales. Personally I always buy used, why pay full price for a ps3 game, when used has litle to no difference to new version. Never understood paying more for...
I know what you mean, just started Mass Effect 2, great game, and I have so many games on preorder! Can't wait for Gears, Zelda, Halo, Uncharted, Skyrim, Batman etc etc. So many awesome games!
Wow, awesome score! I would rate it a 9.5 but dang, a 10 is good too. I think this game is the best this year, absolutely loved this title, fantastic gameplay, so addictive.

But in that instance, shouldn't every review be taken that way? Only a cod addict is allowed to review cod.......that's silly, this guys opinion is a 5 out of 10, chucking out cause he doesn't find it as nostalgic as you is silly. A review is someones opinion, my opinion is different from yours, from his and from everyones! My opinion of this game is even harsher than his, but should that effect your enjoyment, nope.
Best game of this year by far for me, way better than Portal, La Noire, Killzone etc, absolutely loved finished it twice already, can't fricken wait to play it again!
All the more reason to stay away from MS and stick with Sony and Nintendo, they have great and established game studios continually making great game franchises.
People may agree with you, but your right, this could be a interesting time in handheld wars. Sony has got a huge power advantage, game advantage as well features of the device. Plus the hugely competitive price, that let's be honest, no one truly believed they would do.

Sonys conference featured a lot of different things, but the parts after the conference is what made the show for me. Ratchet and clank, twisted metal, pixel junk sidscroller, starhawk, uncharted, resistance, infamous, sly4, dust, god of war collection, ico collection, as well as huge host of 3rd party exclusives and free content. Not to mention the large Move inclusion in a heap of games that I didn't expect. Add on top of this, the intro to MS conference of MW3, Tomb Raider, Future Sold...
While I do want a new star fox and smash bros. But it's not like we haven't already had games with these characters in them. I guess Nintendo will not change it's strategy of using the same IPs over and over again. It's the exact same games every gen, but yet fans, like me, keep buying them. Just finished it then, fantastic game, I am already over 70% done, but will spend the rest of today to totally finish it, a sold 8 from me, I think this is way to low for a game that is so unique.
That was one very fast review, if you only downloaded when the store came up.........None the less a good score for a game I will be getting tomorrow.
