Well they are getting better. Showcased at GDC and whatnot. Plus the average indie game will benefit from any promotion, especially YouTube as it gets people to see the game in motion. Lower costs of development lead to a higher success rate, which is why the Wii U indie scene is heating up at an alarming rate.

Very true, unfortunately a lot of smaller studios don't have the means to really showcase the "Wow" trailer, especially when it's their first game on the Wii U. I applaud TreeFall because instead of making a simple basic game that a lot of companies try on the eShop, they go for something on a grander scale. I hope it translates to success for them.
It's an eShop title that's very early in development.
Yeah the choice of games for the first month was key, so that it wouldn't end up like the NES getting Volleyball on Wii U.
