what is the point of announcing the game when it is still so far off? It was probably like 4% done when they announced it. I am getting sick of all these companies announcing things like 6 years in advance. Who cares, give me something i can look forward to and actually play

fair enough arguments. I did not take part in the beta so i cannot comment as to how broken the game was. If Squenix did not listen to fans for XIV, it seems they are learning their lessons, albeit slowly. XIII-2 and the rebuilding of XIV seem to be examples of that.
Lets just hope that they get Versus out next so we have a new FF game to hopefully worship. AND lets hope they listened to fan requests and feedback BEFORE they put out the game....

And haven;t you listened or read any of the interviews lately as to WHY they aren't making a remake of VII? It is because of the amount of content in it, to built ALL of those towns and cities in HD would take an enormous amount of time.

the way i see it. the wii has been out for 5 years, ps3 and xbox are "expected" to get 10 years out of them. Nintendo seems to have this 5 year turn around on consoles. By the time ps4 and 720 come will probably be a couple years into th wii-u's lifespan.
if that is the case then i wouldnt put it past nintendo to put another one out within 5 years of the wii-u. if that happens then a new more advanced console would come out again from nintendo before the ps4 an...

How would it have been better if it was a PS3 exclusive? The story was the same. The characters would be the same. The battle system would be the same. The design would be the same. Pretty much everything except for the graphics would have been identical.
