Misleading title. Article talks about a female God of War accompanying Kratos and Atreus, not replacing Kratos with one.
I think these completion times are based on a regular playthrough, involving doing the main quests only with a handful of side quests as well. You can spend 3000 hours on Hogwarts Legacy; this doesn't mean it takes that much to beat it.
